Important meeting on River’s commercial expansion
As part of River’s commercial development strategy, Second Vice President Ignacio Villarroel hosted a key meeting with an official delegation from Beijing’s Fengtai District, People’s Republic of China, led by District Mayor Zhang Yanlin.
The meeting was held on Friday, November 14, in the conference room and opened up new opportunities to strengthen River’s positioning in China, explore institutional cooperation agreements, and reinforce the club’s presence in one of the world’s most influential markets.
In addition to the commercial agenda, the meeting advanced a cooperation program centered on youth football and sports education—two areas in which River’s development model is globally recognized. Key topics included training opportunities, staff exchanges, and the possibility of introducing elements of River’s youth methodology in China. The Fengtai delegation showed strong interest in bringing River’s vision to school football and establishing an ongoing relationship.
This meeting underscores River’s standing as an international benchmark, recognized for both its sporting excellence and its institutional and commercial development. This strategic initiative projects the Club’s identity, brand, and expertise into new international markets, strengthening River’s reach beyond national boundaries.
