Draw in the Superclásico derby River Plate drew 1-1 against Boca Juniors in the match played at the Mâs Monumental stadium: Pablo Solari gave River Plate the lead, but the rival team leveled the score in one of the few dangerous plays they created.

In the first play of the match, just seconds after the start, Pablo Solari couldn't control a long pass to go one-on-one with Sergio Romero, following a significant lapse in the rival’s defense. River dominated on Boca's field and didn’t allow the team to play. In a carefully orchestrated move, Andrés Herrera shot at goal under pressure, but the keeper deflected it for a corner kick. The away team posed little threat, with Kevin Zenón’s long-range attempt going wide.
Facundo Colidio had the clearest opportunity, delicately positioning himself in front of the goal and taking a low shot with the outside of his boot, against an unmoving Romero. However, the shot struck the left post. The pace slowed down toward the end, with Boca making a few non-threatening attempts, through crosses from the wings and a shot that went high from Jabes Saralegui.
River came out determined in the second half and swiftly secured the 1-0 lead: Enzo Díaz delivered a long pass to Pablo Solari, who fired a cross-shot and then seized Romero’s rebound, sending the entire stadium into uproar. Boca felt the blow and responded with an attack by Lautaro Blanco, whose cross was palmed away by Franco Armani for a corner. In an isolated play from the left side of the field, Cristian Medina finished low to make it 1-1.
In the final stretch, River came close to securing the win with a header from Miguel Borja, an aerial effort from Colidio, and a powerful right-footed shot from Franco Mastantuono in added time. With this draw, River remains in the top positions of Group A in the League Cup. On the next matchday, the team will visit Talleres in Córdoba.
