River is in the finals and dreams with the Copa Argentina El Millonario defeated Gimnasia by 2-0 and won its place in the decisive duel of the tournament against Rosario Central. Driussi and Alario scored the goals of victory.

In San Juan, Marcelo Gallardo’s team took a step forward regarding the Copa Argentina and obtained a place in the finals. Thanks to two goals by Driussi and Alario, River defeated Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata by 2-0.
El Millonario was superior from the start and, before the first five minutes of the game, with Nacho Fernandez and D’Alessandro threatening the rival with their shots and an annulled play due to a supposed forward position when Ponzio shot.
River pushed and came through: Driussi and Gonzalo Martínez tried from outside the area but didn’t convert. Close to the 40 minutes of the first half came the deserved first goal. After a combination between Martínez and D’Alessandro, Nacho passed on the right field and sent the ball to the middle of the field, where Driussi showed up to kick and score 1-0.
Before the first half ended, Pity Martínez passed through the left after a defensive mistake and shot to the center, and Alario, the top scorer of the Cup, anticipated to the player marking him and scored the next goalwith a header. The teams went to the half time with a 2-0 score.
Then, the advantage of River did not cease. It did not suffer in its area and took the game to the rival’s area. Driussi and Fernández played very well and almost scored the third goal, while near the end, Ponzio was about to increase the gap after a counterattack, but the goalkeeper won the duel.
Thus came the end of the game, with El Millonario showing excellent plays and imposing its authority in San Juan. Now, the final is against Rosario Central, where River will try to achieve its double cup dream: winning the Copa Argentina and make sure it qualifies for Copa Libertadores 2017.
