It was an emotional and vibrant day that culminated in a perfectly executed penalty from Gonzalo Montiel, and history was made: Argentina has won a World Cup once again, with Lionel Messi as key figure and excellent performances by starters Julián Álvarez and Enzo Fernández, who come from River’s Youth Divisions.

Lionel Scaloni's team was winning 2-0, but France caught up with the score near the end. In extra time, Messi set the score at 3-2, but the European team reduced the deficit again with a penalty. In the penalty shootout, Argentina didn’t miss a single one, Dibu Martínez saved one, and France missed one.

The River Plate players in the team are Franco Armani (the only player from the Argentine league), Julián Álvarez, Enzo Fernández, Gonzalo Montiel, Exequiel Palacios, Germán Pezzella, and Guido Rodríguez. Furthermore, Pablo Aimar is part of the coaching staff.
