David Trezeguet appointed to River Plate institutional position

The former footballer and World Cup winner, with prior experience as Juventus ambassador, has been appointed to a position centered on club representation and outreach, aimed at forging strategic alliances and enhancing River Plate’s institutional standing.

David Trezeguet has been officially appointed to a new institutional position at River Plate, aimed at supporting River Plate’s relationship strategy, developing strategic partnerships, and strengthening the club’s institutional presence. He was presented alongside President Stefano Di Carlo.

With a history closely tied to River, an extensive career at the highest levels of world football, and prior experience in institutional representation at Juventus, Trezeguet joins as a key figure to help continue enhancing River’s profile. In this capacity, he will work closely with the Institutional, Marketing, and Commercial departments, contributing to the design and execution of initiatives that create new value opportunities for the club.

As part of his role, David Trezeguet will participate in:
- Building and managing strategic partnerships with organizations, companies, and institutions.
- Supporting commercial agreements and activations related to the club’s sponsors and partners, as well as the development of academy programs and educational experiences.
- Representing the club in official events, celebrations, ceremonial meetings, and engagement activities.
- Engaging with football leaders, sports industry stakeholders, and key figures (locally and, when appropriate, internationally), in coordination with the relevant club departments.
